Elder was yet another “long and athletic” guard, and watching her “on the court” progression over the years has been a treat for me. I enjoy watching her score in the flow because she can facilitate and get others involved, yet she can also flip the switch and drop mid to very long range jumpers as well as blow by defenders and score off the dribble. Her “on the ball” pressure looked good, and she played the passing lane

Elder has proven that she’s hard to contain as she explodes off the dribble and finishes not only after contact but off balance as well. Her quick release on her jumper is a huge plus as the “catch and shoot” and stop and pop” were effective, as was her defensive pressure

Elder got the ball rolling off the top and if I’m not mistaken scored the first 7 points to send a message. She led all scorers with 19, yet her shiftiness with the ball to get the defender off balance in the set, transition, and score off the dribble was special. She also dropped the mid to long-range and applied “on the ball” heat

Elder has been blowing up even more with her numbers, she dropped 50 in a game last month, yet it’s the way she’ doing it, in the flow and unselfishly. Her “stop and pop” jumper was nice and she dazzled defenders with a variety of moves to create her shot and drop it, “catch and shoot” included but her first step needs to be mentioned as well

Elder is having a breakout season, well that’s an understatement since she was already in my Top 15 but her jumping to #7 from #14 based on streams I’ve caught online of her “lockdown defense” to dropping “FIFTY” in a game are eye-openers. She’s long and athletic, and scores off the dribble and around the basket but her jumper is creating some problems, as well as her DEFENSE, and seeing her post “I bet on myself” JUST DID IT for me

When doing my research preview I watch this young lady videos of putting in the work. A tough defender on the ball and a scoring mentality created a lot of front court turnovers for layups. Looking forward to watching her ball this weekend.

Elder continues to keep me amazed and at times, speechless because her explosiveness is among the best in Texas, but I’ve said that yet she’s an athletic guard that not only uses her athleticism on both ends, but also falls into that “never takes a play off” group. Her going hard creates problems “on the ball” because she helps to create turnovers, quick hands get her steals, so does playing the passing lane but when she blows by defenders to score or dish afterward is a work of art. The jumper is nice, the court vision is nice and when you can change the momentum of a game, from both ends of the court, that’s HUGE

Elder showed me a totally different dimension of her game and that was she understands how to “takeover when needed”. Yeah, I knew she was explosive off the dribble and was a highlight waiting to happen with her acrobatic finishes after contact however her “on the court presence” spoke volumes as she could impact the game without scoring. With that being said, down the stretch and in the clutch, she wants the ball and delivers not only off the dribble but with her mid to long-range jumper. Her defense, on the ball, was tough and she played the passing lane, all of this extra from the PGH Top 250 Expo
