The Slinger native was comfortable playing off the ball and made some plays that caught my eye. I thought she played helpside defense well and found ways to get her hands on the ball by reading the opposing team’s offense. I also liked her instincts because she showed she knew when to abandon her defensive assignment to double the ball handler and force turnovers.

Rutzen put on a show all weekend. In one game, with her team down 12, she took over offensively and went on a run of her own, shifting the momentum and ultimately leading Team Impact to the win and first place in their pool.
