Expert Analysis
Brandon Bradley | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Aubrey compiled a solid Junior season, averaging 10.3 points and 2.1 assists per game for the Legends. She has nice speed & quickness, a shiftiness to her game, and she can get on hot streaks from the perimeter. Throughout July, she showed an improved sense of urgency defensively and really got after it at that end of the floor. This season she has an opportunity to show her leadership skill, help by managing the team, get everyone involved, and build towards approaching 10 wins for the first time in several years.

Aubrey has played really well this Spring, and she was again good on Thursday. She is proving herself to be a nice small college prospect as a scoring point guard. She has good strength at her size, some length, plus speed & quickness. She has a solid perimeter jumper with some range, but she’s also good at breaking down defenses and scoring it or finding teammates. One way or another, she is a point producer.

Aubrey Bleek was a PG for Always 100 Red who caught my attention because of her toughness at the Memorial Day Shootout. She caught the ball and used a sweep from the wing to drive hard through the paint and hit the floor hard. Aubrey got herself up and headed to the free-throw line. She drilled a 3 from up top, used crossovers to split defenders and drive, stole the ball, and worked for rebounds.

If Aubrey is one thing, she is a fun watch. She has very good speed and quickness, she flies around the floor in all directions, and she always seems to be around the basketball. Offensively, she is constantly moving and changing directions with the dribble, she gets into the lane and puts pressure on defenses, and she can either find open teammates or make shots at all three levels. She will need to play a little more efficiently offensively, learn how to change speeds, etc., but she definitely has some tools. Defensively, she is a pain on the ball and can really cause havoc for opposing ball-handlers.
