Ava’s protective leg wrap isn’t slowing her down one bit! One of the fiercest competitors at NBA, she’s making high IQ plays and delivering big baskets. She thrives off the bounce and is showing consistency finishing on either side of the glass. She’s using her dribble to create space and options, whether it’s finishing around the rim or pulling up for a jumper. Her effort on the glass is undeniable, one of the most underrated parts of her game.

Ava is a good finisher who is comfortable using either hand around the basket. She is an extremely quick ball handler and can be nearly impossible to keep up with in a footrace down the court. Ava also has good balance around the rim, absorbing contact in the air and still finishing through it. She recently showed off her game with a strong performance at the No Boyz Allowed Tournament.

She found heavy-hitting offense in the second half vs Team Faith. Toughness on drives made way for trips to the stripe. She made herself available for backdoor feeds (easy 2’s); very fluid on the cut. Got her 3 ball to drop; two triples. She played a key role in her team’s come-from-behind win; clutch steal with less than 1 minute left to seal the deal.

Physical defender; in-your-face pressure resulted in a number of steals. She took an aggressive approach on both sides of the ball. Her length & quickness was problematic for smaller, less agile defenders.

Ava is a crafty scorer who displays excellent touch around the basket. Her floater game allows her to finish over taller defenders, and she consistently plays off two feet, maintaining balance and body control in traffic. Combined with her tight handle and ability to create off the dribble, she is a difficult player to contain.

So tough off the bounce! When she put the ball on the deck, no defender was safe! A quick first step allowed her to zip through the lane and attack. She was the beneficiary of a lot of passes underneath the basket. High IQ on display; keep the turnovers low and intensity high.
