About Ava

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a quicker-paced play maker. I love to get into transitions quickly. I like to not only drive to penetrate and see my open teammate but also drive to get to the hoop through contact.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would describe my mentality that I am super focused on the game. I would then describe my personality by being super energetic at times but then also like super laid back. I say this because when it comes game time I like to hype up the team so we are like ready and not all depressed, but then I can be super laid back because while in the game I need to keep my cool.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

FFA, FBLA

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I would say that I have some leadership skills, I can be a good leader on and off the court but I'm still looking to be better at it. I work well with others and if someone is confused about something I like to step in and help them.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I'm not sure if this really is or was a challenge that I had to go through but throughout my sports years I've been told that I'm not as good as I think I am, and that really like set me back and I got upset over it. I believe that I can be really good someday and that I am good right now but I always have room for improvement. So I'm not sure if that really was a challenge but to me it was.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that will work with me on both sports and what I would like to pursue after college which is to hopefully become a veterinarian.
