Bethel University commit Super quick guard with a good wingspan which can enable her to control the passing lanes. Good footwork and an excellent floor leader. Able to score in all three phases. Great range, catch and shoot kid. She has good floor sense, look for a big senior season for Ava this coming winter!

I have seen Ava since she was in 8th Grade, and I felt like she had a nice stretch in July, when I was able to check in on her again. She looks stronger, more assertive, and she’s doing more things at different levels now. She’s starting to rebound and defend at a higher level, plus she’s driving the ball more often. Ava has always been a capable perimeter shooter, but these added dimensions make her that much more difficult to prepare for. As she continues to create more consistently off the dribble, look for her college interest to increase.

I have seen Ava several times over the past couple of years, but this was my first time this Spring or Summer to see her at length. She looks noticeably stronger, even a bit more explosive, and she continues to be a nicely skilled wing/guard. She has an accurate perimeter jumper, she’s attacking the basket more often, absorbing contact better, plus she is attacking the boards with more intent. As she continues her progression, I think over the next year Ava can become a really nice scoring threat who many of the small colleges in the region will like.

Since I first saw Ava last Fall at a showcase event, I’ve liked her potential to be a really nice prospect. She was solid again in mid-March when I saw her, but this past weekend she looked even stronger, and she played much stronger and more aggressively. She has nice length, a wiry-strong frame, and she’s a fairly fluid athlete. She has some touch around the perimeter, but I liked seeing her battle for rebounds and attempting interior scores this weekend. She just looked more confident and assertive, and if she can become a more complete, multilevel scorer at 5’9, it can only benefit her recruiting.
