Sinclair is one of the shiftiest dribblers in the PNW. The spin seems to be her favorite out of her bevy of moves, and it is incredibly effective at freezing defenders. She doesn’t struggle with tunnel vision; she adapts to the coverage she sees and can wiggle her way out of adversity. She makes quick reads in the pick and roll game. On her drives, she can fire quick, accurate kick-outs against a collapsing defense. She can also take it all the way herself for a fancy finish, or she can step back into a comfortable middy. If you are a fan of creative point guard play, this is a name to know.

Few freshmen play with the natural rhythm and creativity that Avaieya Sinclair brings to the floor. She handles the ball with confidence, changing speeds effortlessly to create driving lanes and keep defenders off balance. Her ability to play with pace allows her to get downhill while remaining under control, and she consistently makes smart reads once the defense collapses. Sinclair also shows an impressive understanding of spacing and timing, recognizing where passing opportunities will develop before they fully materialize. Combined with her energy and fluidity, those instincts make her one of the more intriguing young guards to follow moving forward.

Sinclair has been one of the more exciting freshmen guards to watch this year. She plays with great energy on both ends and has a super smooth and advanced handle that allows her to play with pace and get downhill. She’s just got some natural feel and fluidity with the rock that sets her apart from a lot of players, and to add to that, she has a good understanding of spacing and anticipation of where passing lanes will open up.
