About Avantey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a physical, high-motor forward who controls the paint with rebounding and rim protection. I take pride in finishing strong through contact, and spacing the floor with confident shooting.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I stay coachable, lead with effort, and consistently bring energy, toughness, and a team‑first mentality.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through basketball, I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills as a two-year varsity captain. I lead by example with consistent effort, communication, and accountability. I take pride in bringing energy and toughness for my teammates. Balancing school and year-round training has taught me discipline, time management, and responsibility, and I strive to be a positive influence.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced challenges such as financial limitations compared to majority of my peers and being tall at a young age while still learning the game of basketball. Those experiences pushed me to build confidence, work harder, and turn obstacles into motivation.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a strong basketball program that emphasizes player development, competition, and accountability. I want to be part of a team that pushes me to grow on the court while also supporting my academic goals and development as a student-athlete.
