Hansen is the type of guard who controls games with pace and confidence. She’s explosive off the bounce and uses a sharp first step to consistently create advantages against defenders. Once she gets downhill, she’s difficult to contain, but she also has the balance and body control to stop suddenly and rise into jumpers. Her ability to create for herself while keeping teammates involved makes her especially dangerous in the half court. She plays with strong tempo awareness and rarely allows defenders to dictate the game.
Avery is a high level guard who knows how to get buckets at a high level. She blows by defenders using her first step to get buckets in the paint or stop on a dime and knock down the shot. She gets teammates involved easily and knows how to control the pace of the game at her own pace. She is set for a big season next year.
Hansen produced one of the biggest scoring performances of the day with 24 points for Auburn. She shot 10-of-25 from the field and knocked down four three-pointers while consistently creating offense for the Trojans. Even in defeat, Hansen’s ability to stretch the defense kept Auburn competitive throughout the game.
Avery has been a cornerstone leader for her team over the whole season, consistently setting the tone with her high-level play. Her leadership qualities shine through as she elevates the performance of her teammates, fostering a cohesive and dynamic squad. Avery’s scoring ability is marked by her smooth execution and a reliable jump shot, which she uses to sink shots with precision. Her combination of skill and leadership makes her an indispensable asset on the court.
very reached a major milestone, scoring her 1,000th point midway through her junior season. She’s been unstoppable this year, averaging 24 points per game while leading her team to an impressive 9-0 start. Her scoring ability and leadership on the court have made her a driving force behind her team’s early-season success.
Avery is off to a great start, leading this Auburn team to a fantastic start of the season. Hansen does a great job at getting to the bucket, using her shifty handles and elite agility to blow by defenders and get the finish. She has an elite jumper too, being able to score from all 3 levels and end up with 20+ points every night. She’s a great leader and with already over 1,000 points scored, she’s a proven bucket getter.
Hansen is a creative, pacey, and hard-nosed guard who provides excellent playmaking and scoring for the Auburn Trojans. She reads the game at a high level and is a reliable playmaker and momentum swinger on both sides of the floor. What is really impressive is just how she sees the game and stays a step ahead of opposing defenses, and she’s also shown the toughness to hit from tough angles while attacking the hoop. She picked up an offer from Eastern Washington this summer.
One of the best guards in the state, Avery demonstrates exceptional skill in creating her own scoring opportunities while expertly managing the point guard position. She consistently showcases her ability to score from all three levels—attacking the rim, mid-range, and beyond the arc—with remarkable efficiency. Not only is she a dynamic scorer, but she also excels in facilitating the offense, ensuring her teammates are actively involved and positioned for success. Her versatile playmaking makes her an invaluable asset on the court.
