Burns has turned into a double-double waiting to happen, yet she doesn’t wait around to make things happen and set the tone. She’s showing she’s more than a 3-point shooter, as her midrange, along with attacking the basket from wherever she wants to score, all looked good. She rebounded on both ends, scored around the basket, putbacks included, and also did a good job seeing the floor, as well as defending

#51 Up from #55
Burns has been “BURNing up the nets” from deep for quite some time, so adding more to her game has been fun for me. I have noted several times she needed to utilize her size against smaller players off the dribble, she has, as well as around the basket but her court vision across the board looks better and she’s handling the ball after rebounding

Burns rubbed two sticks together before the game and came out smoking yet what turned into the fire early was her dropping it from, well everywhere. I love a couple of extra things she did other than drop the mid to long-range, post up smaller players as well as attack from multiple angles yet I also need to give her a #THROWBACK for following her shot

Burns as in “BURNING UP THE NETS” has continued to show she’s more than a big guard who can drop the 3, and that’s huge. I enjoyed watching her score from the wing off the dribble, create her shot, and create spacing under pressure. Another plus was her rebounding and handling the ball afterward, to either score or dish going coast to coast. Not only has her”seeing the floor” improved but so has her defense

Burns has been “BURNing up the nets” from distance pre-high school yet I suggested she put it on the floor more to score off the dribble as well as add the midrange, she’s done both. When you factor in her size, she can overpower smaller guards around the basket, her rebounding on both ends, and handling the ball afterward, at times to go coast to coast to score or dish speaks volumes about her versatility yet she WANTS to keep improving and her work ethic tells me she will

Burns is showing she can play multiple positions which is going to have several next level coaches placing her on their short list. She’s just under “the magic number” which is 6’0, she can drop the long ball, college coaches love big guards that can shoot. but she’s attacking better off the dribble to mix it up. She also is defending better outside the paint and when you factor in rebounding and handling the ball after …

Burns has made a solid debut in high school and her figuring it out has always been something I loved about her game. She has gone from a player with good size that could drop the long ball to score multiple ways including off the dribble and around the basket but her rebounding and handling the ball afterward while being pressured is a huge plus, so is her court vision in transition as well as in the set

Burns has done a good job of adding more to her game than dropping the long ball and what I really like is that she can play multiple positions. Being a big guard that can shoot is always going to be on the short lists for many next level programs, trust me, I know things. She’s scoring off the dribble, with either hand, posting up smaller players as well as rebounding on both ends and handling the ball afterward to either go coast to coast or see the floor. Her interior defense as well as stepping outside the paint and guard her man are also pluses that keep getting better

Burns continues to elevate her game on both ends of the court, yes, she can drop the long ball but watching her mix it up to score off the dribble as well as dropping the midrange has helped make her more of a threat. She has improved with reading the mismatch and using her size and strength to overpower smaller players and she’s rebounding and handling the ball in the open court afterward
