The Hartford guard/wing was one of the prominent parts of the Orioles team that made it to a state semifinal last season. She’s a more physical lead guard who can finish with either hand around the rim. She’s a solid spot-up shooter and made about 38% of her perimeter shots in her sophomore season. Klages has a way of making plays. Even though she may not be the quickest off the dribble, she plays through contact as well as anyone.

I’ve always thought highly of Klages. No matter what a team needs to get the best out of the four other kids on the floor, Klages can slot in there and do anything you’d ask of her. She can create, shoot, finish at the rim, rebound, and defend multiple positions. Klages is the kind of player that every coach wants. Her versatility allows her to play in different spots in different lineups, and her passing helps her get the most out of her teammates. I’ve probably said it a million times, but her consistency is a significant reason Hartford was in Green Bay this season.

What makes Klages so intriguing is the versatility she brings to the floor. Depending on when you see Klages play, she may initiate offense, attack the rim, knock down threes, defend one through four, and generate good looks off the dribble. Klages isn’t flashy but can make things happen. She adds value anywhere she plays.
