Expert Analysis
Connor Dodd | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Bella is quietly and consistently one of the best scorers in her class! Dynamic, big guard that attacks the rim without fear/hesitation, scores through contact and has shown a soft touch when needed. Prolific shooter that can get her shot off with limited space. Can and will light up the scoreboard when needed — finished out the regular season with a 33 pt game! Runs the floor, dives for loose balls, consistently does the little things needed to win. Unsigned dynamic 2026 guard looking to make one last run in the playoffs!

Strengths: Consistency, Off-the-dribble, Spot-up ability
Bella shot over 40% as a sophomore and junior for a top 20 team in California. Her shot preparation is next-level in terms of getting her feet set. Great balance as she rarely fades on her jumper. Nice follow-through as well.

Bella consistently showed all summer why she’s a top 10 shooting guard in the state with her ability to score from all 3 levels. Dangerous shooter from behind the arc off the bounce, catch and from a quick step back. Uses her size and frame well to create space around rim + from deeper in the perimeter to get to her jumper. Score first yet unselfish mentality, makes the right pass and drives with vision. High level scoring guard currently receiving D2/3/NAIA offers and interest.

Was a true three-level scorer and showed it throughout the event. Finished through contact at the rim, had the step-back three working, and consistently created space off the dribble. Handled the ball well — kept defenders off balance and made some really good passes in transition, hitting teammates in stride.
Also showed she could stop on a dime and knock down the midrange pull-up. Read the floor well, played under control, and created offense both for herself and her teammates. Her ability to score in multiple ways and make the right reads made her a tough matchup on the floor.

Moreno Valley’s playoff run (Division 1 Southern Section semifinalists) was far from possible without the junior guard’s contributions. Bella scored in double-figures all four sectional playoff games, with solid efficiency. In the opening round of the state playoffs, Bella had 18 points (4/6 from long-range) in a convincing win over St. Joseph. She has been a reliable shooter/scorer all season, but truly rose to the occasion in the 2025 playoffs.

Bella is more than a shooter, but that is certainly her calling card. She sets her feet well with a beautiful, efficient stroke. Bella is extremely comfortable coming off screens. Her off-ball movement and spot-up ability make her effective without needing the ball much. She shot an incredible 46% from range as a sophomore! Expect similar efficiency with even higher volume this season.
