Brenley might not get as much fanfare as other freshmen in the area, but she has a chance to develop into one of the more well-rounded players in Cherokee County. At 5-foot-9, Matthews can play inside and out. She does a nice job rebounding and protecting the rim. On Saturday, it was her fluidity with her jumper that really impressed me. She sank a mid-range jumper and then netted a smooth three-pointer off the catch. Brenley posted 7 points and 4 rebounds. She is an important piece to Creekview’s future.
