Brooke is still flying somewhat under the radar, which is a shame because she will likely make a really nice small college point guard. She has good length, quickness, and she’s a quietly tough-nosed kid who just plays hard, takes hits, and keeps going. She is a more than willing facilitator, but she can also get downhill and finish or knock down an open jumper around the perimeter. She defends with intensity and does a nice job of being disciplined and not gambling too much. Again, I think she will make some small college very happy they recruited her.

Brooke, a point guard for Indiana Game, delivered a steady and composed performance during the MI College Tour III stop at Grand Valley State University. She controlled the tempo well, consistently looking to push the pace in transition and keep her team moving forward. Defensively, she showed active hands and stayed engaged, creating pressure on the ball. Offensively, she attacked the rim with confidence and finished through contact, earning an and-one opportunity. Her poise and decision-making stood out as she managed the game from the lead guard spot.

I’ve been aware of Brooke since middle school, and she has really grown as a player, especially skillfully. She has always possessed nice length, some speed & quickness, and she is one of the hardest workers on the floor. I had often seen her play off the ball in the past, but now she has embraced being more of a point guard, and she has done a nice job this Spring of initiating her team’s offense but also creating opportunities for herself and teammates.

I was able to see Brooke a little when she was in middle school, and she has done a nice job of developing her skillset for the high school level. She is long, quick, fast, and she flies around the court at times. She has developed her point guard skillset nicely and plays with her head up looking for open teammates. Brooke can also knock down an open rhythm jumper, plus she is versatile defensively and can defend the ball or passing lanes with her length.

Don’t get Brooke hot on transition! She’s a bucket with contact!  What a pretty passer! Heating up from behind the arc! Dawson is so quick with those hands defensively- She will taketh away in a jiffy!  And she loves to come from behind and knock the ball away! Creates so much fuel for the team with her defense!
