Brooke has long been known for her ability to bury shots from behind the 3-point line, but the surges she has shown at times in games the last couple of years have been impressive. She’ll get extremely hot and make 5, 6, or 7 in a row like she’s at Dave & Buster’s playing pop-a-shot for raffle tickets. She has good balance and is able to get her feet set quickly, helping her get rid of it before the defense can close out completely. She leads the state right now with 65 makes in just 15 games, and she’s shooting it at a 38% rate. Additionally, she’s averaging 19.5 points and 2.7 steals per game.

Brooke is a fantastic perimeter shooter, as evidenced by her 106 made 3-pointers this season and 46% shooting from long range. She is a really nice athlete with length, and she can use the dribble to get to the rim as well. She has erupted for some big performances throughout the season, including five outings where she made 7 or 8 3-pointers each. Against Hamilton Southeastern, she got the Tigers rolling with a huge first half. I still contend that even for as good of a scorer as Brooke is, she is an outstanding defender as well.
