After recapping the season in my opinion, no player impacted a teams success more than Espinoza did. She finished the season with 24 double doubles which ranked 31st in the nation. Her 15.6 rebounds per game ranked her 58th in the nation. She plays every possession at a high level and her motor just doesn’t stop. She was selected as 5A Southern Region Defensive Player of the Year. Very physical player who had 2.5 blocks and 3.6 steals per game. Espinoza is arguably the top 2027 Southern Arizona prospect at her position and coaches are taking notice. At the end of her junior season Espinoza had 797 points, 1048 rebounds, 260 steals and 151 blocks.

Brooklyn Espinoza has emerged as one of the best forwards in Southern Arizona. She has good size and length, and she is a terrific 3-sport athlete. She was 3rd in the entire state of Arizona in rebounds per game at 15.6. She also is able to block shots and alter shots because of her size and athleticism. Brooklyn is also starting to become an offensive threat. She excelled on drives to the basket this season because of her speed, and her shooting also improved. Look for Brooklyn to be highly recruited before her Senior Season arrives.

Espinoza has proved this season what I had previewed at the beginning of the season. That she is one of if not the top forward prospect in Southern Arizona. She impacts the game at an elite level on both sides of the ball. She was voted to first team all region including Defensive Player of the Year. She put up impressive numbers this season. Espinoza’s 23 double doubles was the most in the state and ranked top 25 nationally. Her 15.6 rebounds per game was ranked third in the state and 60th in the nation. She racked up a combined 54 rebounds in both region match ups against Nogales including a season high 30 rebounds in their regular season finale. Espinoza will be a highly sought after player and is one of my Southern Arizona Player of the Year finalists.

I’ve said it before and I’ll continue to say it, Espinosa is one of my favorite players to watch play the game. She gives 100 percent of what she has every possession and is a huge reason why the Warriors are having the success they are. Her 15.5 points per game while shooting 45 percent from the field and 2.2 assists on the offensive side definitely helps but her ability to rebound the ball and dominate the paint separates her from any player. She averages 13.3 rebounds, 3.6 steals and 2.3 blocks per game. As this article gets posted she will have accounted for over 800 rebounds just halfway through her junior season. Espinosa is currently 326 rebounds from breaking into the top 20 in the AIA record books and could possibly be in the top 10 when her high school career is over.

Espinoza can do it all. She simply dominates the paint. Rebounds exceptionally well (on pace for 1000 career rebounds in her junior year) and can advance the ball in transition to keep the fast pace going for the warriors. She slashes to the basket for the easy bucket. High percentage three point shooter. Is one of the top overall players regardless of class in Southern AZ that I’ve had the chance to see.

Espinosa might be one of the most impactful players in the Southern AZ 2027 class. She flat out hustles. Strong rebounding ability and finds the open player. Very unselfish player. Seemed to always make the right play for her team. Does the “dirty work” and did it with passion. Showed she can be an effective scorer as well. don’t be surprised if we see some assist/rebound double doubles from her this season.

Espinosa is a versatile player on both on offense and defense. On offense she operates well around the basket but also has the ability to hit the mid-range jump shot. On defense she is able to switch and guard multiple positions from the wing to the post.

is a multi-sport athlete that is just now tapping into her potential as a basketball player. She continues to improve her basketball skills, and running track and playing volleyball just enhances her athletic ability on the basketball court. I see her as a Small Forward on the next level because of her excellent athleticism. Her and the Pueblo Warriors are looking to make a State Title run next season after making it to the Final Four last season. She will be a major contributor for the Warriors as she started every game last season.

is perhaps the most intriguing prospect in this class. She has really developed well the last 2 years, and her stock continues to rise. She was a big factor in helping Pueblo get to the Class 4A Final 4. She can play guard, but she is counted on as a Forward in Pueblo’s system, and she is thriving. She is a very good defender and rebounder, and many times she is counted on to guard the opposing team’s best offensive player. She is smart, she is driven, and she will put the necessary work in to continue to develop her all-around game. She is definitely a College prospect and will be leaned on heavily by the Warriors as they compete for a State Championship in 2026.

plays a critical role for the #4 Ranked Pueblo Warriors. She is a very good defender and rebounder. She can cover guards or forwards on defense, and she is extremely good in press situations. On offense, she can score the mid-range shot, and she is versatile around the basket. Just a Sophomore, she has a lot of upside.
