About Carley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is competitive, confident, and aggressive. I play with an attacking mindset, looking to pressure the defense by driving to the basket and creating scoring opportunities. I compete with high energy and confidence, and I’m not afraid to take on challenges or make big plays for my team. My goal is to always play with intensity and be a consistent offensive player.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality in life is to stay focused, work hard, and continue growing as a person. I believe in pushing myself to be better every day and staying committed to my goals. Personality-wise, I’m confident, determined, and supportive of the people around me. I try to bring positive, encouraging energy to any team or environment I’m part of while staying true to who I am.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am also involved in leadership at my school as a School Ambassador at Mitchell High School. I was selected for this role because of my dedication to academics, leadership, and commitment to supporting my school and community. As an ambassador, I positively represent my school, help build school spirit, and serve as a role model for other students while continuing to stay focused on my goals.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through basketball and my everyday experiences, I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills. I have served as team captain of the varsity squad since my sophomore year, which has helped me grow as a leader both on and off the court. In this role, I focus on bringing positive energy, supporting my teammates, and helping keep everyone motivated and focused on our goals.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I faced was a lack of confidence as a freshman. I doubted my abilities when adjusting to the varsity level. Through hard work, practice, and support from my coaches and teammates, I built my confidence. This experience strengthened my mindset, resilience, and determination to improve every day.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a competitive college basketball program that plays at a high level and competes for championships. I want a school with strong coaching, a supportive team culture, and opportunities to grow as both a player and a student. Academics and character development are also very important to me.

The scoring guard jumped into the rankings at 57. Carley jumped on my radar from a high light video that was sent to me. The video showed her pull up, attacks to the basket, free throws, directing offense and assists. Shortly after seeing the video, Carley appeared in the MaxPrep rankings as one of the top scorers in Tennessee. I was able to get to a Mitchell game to see more of Carley’s abilities in person. She is the tallest guard on her team and uses her ability to post on the block and rebound on both ends of the floor. She lead her team in scoring and rebounding with 18.6 points,  9.8 rebounds per game. She finished the season ranked #30 in scoring in the state.
