She’s another post who does an excellent job establishing low position and is able to use her quickness to slip around defenders by the hoop and get quick post-ups. She’s a steady finisher with either hand and really attacks the ball when going for rebounds.

Holmes is off to a great start in her senior season, averaging 19.2 ppg and proving to be a rock for the 10-1 Tigers. She does a great job rim-running in transition, finding ways to get quick, deep position, and finishing strong around defenders. She’s really shown great focus and approach down low, looking to get little bumps to create space, working with some patience and footwork, and just proving to be too strong for defenders much of the time. She has also shown a nice shot from behind the arc and plays with great awareness to continually put herself in good spots to attack.

Chesah will have a solid role for Burlington-Edison next season, will be a competitive team. Holmes will have the job at protecting the paint and being able to contain other post players that they play. She is a high level defender who knows how to box-out well and rebound at a high rate. Offensively, she sets solid screens to help free her teammates.

Showed good instincts inside and had some really effective moves from both the backdown and face-up. Lacked a little finishing but was getting to good spots, worked hard to follow shots, and played tough inside on the defensive end.

Standing at 6’0″ tall, Chesah displays great IQ on the court with her presence inside. She boxes out on both ends, positions herself well for second chance opportunities, and knows how to look for her shot in the post. She was a 1st team all-league player last season, and she’ll look to produce an even better season in the winter.
