There are a number of programs that are in search of a consistent scoring threat from deep that can also play as a guard and at the wing with rebounding capabilities. Hudson will fill that need. She has played at the high school level since she was in the eighth grade and is more than poised for success at the collegiate level. Her high school resume at 5A Division 1 Rock Hill includes winning a state championship at the conclusion of the 2021-22 season. This past season, she averaged 22.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.8 steals. She also had a big moment recently in the Carolinas Classic when she drained a game-tying 3-pointer late in the fourth quarter, paving the way for South Carolina to pick up an overtime win.

The “unsigned senior” phrase also applies currently to this sharpshooter from 5A Division 1 Rock Hill. Hudson concluded Saturday afternoon’s matchup with 10 points, but she made one of the biggest plays of the day. Late in the fourth quarter, North Carolina had a 96-93 lead but South Carolina (and Brookland-Cayce) coach Terrence Gibson remembered how accurate Hudson is from distance. She connected on a 3-pointer from the left wing to tie the contest at 96 apiece, forcing overtime. Hudson is set to depart from Rock Hill having won a state championship at the conclusion of the 2021-22 season and averaged 22.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.8 steals this past season for the Bearcats.

Hudson’s first year with Rock Hill was during her eighth-grade year in 2021-22 – when the Bearcats won its first-ever state championship. In what is Hudson’s final season in a Rock Hill uniform, the Bearcats sharpshooter reached the 2,000-point plateau for her stellar career. Hudson reached the feat on Feb. 10 when the Bearcats scored a dominant region victory over Catawba Ridge. The final score was 68-31. Rock Hill finished the 2025-26 regular season with an 18-8 record along with a 9-3 mark against region foes. Hudson and the rest of coach Kenny Orr’s Bearcats will commence the 5A Division 1 state tournament at home against Spartanburg.

One had to believe that for a 5A Division 1 Rock Hill-hosted showcase that the Bearcats would defend its home court. Hudson overcame some early struggles to conclude her day with a 17-point performance en route to a 49-32 Bearcats victory over the Cougars of 8A Chambers from North Carolina. Hudson is known throughout the state for being one of the most efficient 3-point shooters in the state. Early on, the 3-pointers were not falling and she helped her team by attacking the rim point guard-style. Hudson looked like vintage Hudson in the second quarter by draining a triplet of 3-pointers from the left wing. Fittingly enough, No. 15 had 15 points at the halftime break – outscoring the entire Chambers team.

Hudson was one of three team captains last season for coach Kenny Orr’s 5A Division 1 Rock Hill squad. The Bearcats have been one of the teams to beat as of late in South Carolina’s highest of classifications and Hudson has been a reason for that these past several years. Hudson averaged 17.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.7 steals per contest and set a school record for most triples in a game with 11 when Rock Hill prevailed over Clover by a final of 62-59 in the second round of last season’s 5A Division 1 playoffs. Hudson is a three-sport athlete who also plays tennis and soccer.

Any collegiate coach that is in need of a 3-point specialist ought to give this veteran star from Rock Hill a look. As proficient as Hudson can be from behind the arc, long-range attempts can be like layups for her. Hudson has had games in the past against top-tier competition where she has drained multiple triples a game. Hudson can also display that she is more than merely a markswoman from deep. She is a skilled ball handler who attracts plenty of attention from defenses – attention that can open things up for her teammates. While looking to pass, she can also throw defenses off with her rim-attacking capabilities and has embraced the role as an on-court leader for her team.

Hudson is a shot maker from the floor. She really looks to excel in her game from behind the three-point line. Chloe shoots the ball at a good clip and shows good shot selection. She helped the Lady Bearcats get to the Class 5A State championship game this past season.

Hudson is best known for her SHOOTING the ball from downtown. Chloe really does a nice job of getting the ball off in space. She shoots the ball at a good clip, and it seems like it’s going in on every shot. Hudson finished with 11 points in a win over Ross HS (OH) to start things off. The Lady Bearcats finished the weekend with a (3-0) record.
