One of the more talented sophomores in Oklahoma and her team are peaking at the right time. It was a crazy regular season for East Central, finishing fourth in their district and having multiple head coaches. Woodson and company are on head coach number three and are fittingly 3-0 in the playoffs. Earning a ticket to the Class 5A quarterfinals against Carl Albert on Thursday. Woodson has been on a tear all playoffs. Including 33 points against a very good Glenpool squad in EC’s Area Championship win. It’s great to see Woodson thriving and most importantly winning in the playoffs.

It’s impressive to watch Woodson cook against one of the top teams in 6A. Showed fight with steals and scrappiness on defense. While being too quick on offense. Getting into mid-range and draining pull ups and extended runners over taller foes. A potentially special sophomore season is in the cards for this Lady Cardinal.

With elite start and go ability and transition explosiveness, Woodson is another scoring demon in the Class of 2028. Her handles nearly match her natural athletics gifts. With her killer crossover and hesi movies, she has the potential to put up LOUD scoring nights this winter. Equally adept as a shooter from three as she is as a dynamic slasher. Her arrival at East Central will have a chance to push the Lady Cardinals into the 5A State Tournament conversation.

An explosive and skilled guard. Has rare stop and start ability. Along with great end to end speed and can really elevate when going to finish or grab a board. Outstanding handles, leading to mid-range jumpers or carving up the defense off the bounce. Really shined in transition with her ability to make the right decision to take it herself or find teammates. Her half court game during 5 on 5 play wasn’t as a smooth, marking a potential area of improvement. Woodson is an another example of the outrageous potential and talent of Oklahoma’s sensational sophomore class.

A very quick, guard that makes things happen on offense and defense end. A standout in the 3-point shooting contest that showed you better get out and respect her 3 point shot. The ability to shot the 3 stretches out the defense opening up the driving lanes. A crossover and hesi pocket dribble gets her bye the defender attacking the rim.
impressive was how verbal she was on the defense end. Always talking and pointing to where the help needed to go. Talked on what was happening on ball a screen calling out switches. The transfer will plays next season at East Central next year where she will have an immediate impact to the program. A highly ranked guard that many have only seen on the AAUI circuit so I am looking forward to seeing her at the Class 5a level next season.

The high school season proved to be a tricky evaluation for the immensely talented Tulsa guard. She started the year at an unconventional high school, and was quiet in a viewing of a scrimmage back in January. Then finished the year playing with a deep team at Union. Since high school season has ended, Woodson has been electric. First with AAU play with Texas based Girls EYBL program Drive Nation. Then earning an invite to the Jr USA Basketball trials. She’s quick, with outstanding handles to match. It’s very possible she’s still being undervalued, because there is a sky high ceiling to her game.

The talent for Woodson has always been obvious. Quick, skilled and dangerous off the dribble. Her freshman year at high school was split between two schools, first Crossover Prep then with 6A State Tournament qualifier Union. So her impact at times was a bit muted. This spring has seen her quickly ascend. Woodson has earned a Team USA invite for the U16 trails. And she’s been electric with DriveNation on the Girls EYBL circuit. She’s a blur in the open court, with tight handles while playing with flair. Nice no looks and great touch as a passer. Exciting prospect who looks ready to take off as another high upside player in the Class of 2028.

One of the most electric athletes in Oklahoma. Incredible quickness and burst with the ball in her hands. Has outstanding handles, body control and finishing ability at the rim as well. Clearly has a scorer’s DNA, with the ability to stop and pop from three in the mid-range to go along with her relentless driving ability. Currently putting up big numbers for prep school program Crossover Academy.

While Chloe has been covered extensively this week (Player Profile on her, as well as being covered as one of our Top 15) I will add that she really made this team go. When you have a three-level scorer like that, it always has the other team back pedaling. With the caliber of teammates she had this week, that led to just really solid offense for a group of girls that had to pick up and play together that day.
