Cieara caught my attention for the first time during the State Semifinals with Concord last March. Her aggressive instincts, hard-nosed defense, hard drives to the basket, and tough finishing in traffic separated her on the court. Cieara was one of the best players in the gym again at the Au Sable Shootout in June. Her relentless effort, competitiveness, rebounding presence, court vision, and finishing confirmed how valuable she will be at the college level. Cieara will be very productive for Spring Arbor’s reserve team.

Cieara is a competitor, and she gave Concord a spark on both ends at the Au Sable Shootout. She has a no-quit mentality. After a miss, Cieara pursued the rebounder, stole the ball back, and earned a trip to the free throw line. She pushed the ball with pace, using both hands in transition, and dished out assists to open teammates. Cieara split defenders with a hard drive to score a floater and finished contested layups in top gear. She created many deflections and steals with her effort on defense. Cieara outworked the opponent to secure offensive rebounds, blocked shots, and had an all-around impressive day.

Cieara was the most aggressive player for Concord and she worked hard to keep her team within striking distance against ETC. Cieara flashed athleticism and potential to be excited about. She used a quick sweep move to beat her defender off the dribble driving baseline and finished the contested layup off two feet. Cieara buried a deep wing 3 and swiped the ball away on defense, finishing the play with a strong and-one layup. She drove hard downhill and used a crossover to beat her defender for another layup. Ciera’s all-around impact as a defender, rebounder, and scorer caught my attention–she finished the game with nine points, seven rebounds, and three steals.
