Phillips is a weight room warrior. She uses her physicality to barrel her way to the rim. Once she gets a step on her defender, she keeps them at her hip and finishes at the basket. When Phillips is on her game, she’s making plays in the heart of the defense as both a distributor and jump shooter. Her strength allows her to be an above average rebounder for her height.

Phillips was more of a distributor in Hart County’s 66-42 win, but started to find points in the second half. Dakota netted 11 of her 13 points after halftime to pair with her 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Her floor game is where she holds value. Dakota can be a difference maker without having to score in bunches. She’s so physically strong, she can fend off aggressive defenders to get to her spots. She’s a tough rebounder for her size.
