About Dani

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay is fast pace, playing hard on both ends of the court. I can see the floor well and read the defense! I have fast hands as well as tough defense. I am a natural point guard with great court vision. I put team over self by sharing the ball to win the game. I rebound very well and push the ball up the floor . I love to attack the rim and I have a nice jump shot .

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a a very compassionate and empathetic person. I am extremely competitive academically and athletically. I am self motivated and give one hundred percent at all times. I love my family, friends , animals, ice cream and Reese’s peanut butter cups. I love going to the beach, amusement rides, and being active.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of Student Council at WCA. I am number 1 in the class of 2028 I am a Honor Student with a GPA of 4.43

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

In my community I have been a basketball coach for two years helping special needs children play basketball. I also have volunteered with The Heart of Surfing. Physically riding the waves with severally handicapped children. I also volunteer at the ELKS in Brigantine helping children with arts and crafts. I also volunteer my time with Tar Heels youth basketball team with drills and skills.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Challenges that I have faced freshman year athletically has made me a much strong person. Transitioning to high school and a new team while being expected to perform at the varsity level.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am open to all universities and colleges. My dream is to play D1 or D 2 I plan to major in Physical Therapy, I want to help young athletes over come their injuries and get back to the field or court! I love athletics and helping athletes would be so rewarding .

Dani put together an outstanding season, earning 2nd Team All-South Jersey and 1st Team All–Non-Public honors while averaging 20 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 5.8 steals per game. She led the CAL in both scoring and steals and guided her team to the conference final. A smooth, controlled ball handler, she protects the ball well and gets to the rim with ease. She’s also a confident perimeter shooter who can stretch the defense.

One of the best rookies in the region last year, Daley is on track to have an even better sophomore campaign this winter. The 5’8” shooting guard is averaging 22 points per game through the Crusaders’ first seven contests. She’s also playing exceptional defense, leading the team with a high of 51 steals, while the Crusaders own a 6-1 record.

Wildwood Catholic’s next game: Thursday, away at Mainland, 5:30 p.m.
