Expert Analysis
Marissa Rimbert | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Reliable shooter with a strong, stocky build that plays a key role in handling pressure. Crucial in breaking the press, she stays composed with her head up and consistently makes smart, accurate lead passes to ignite transition opportunities. Brings a steady presence with the ball and helps her team flow into offense efficiently.

Cuts really well, smart player. Deliberate player that makes good decisions. Feel like it’s too early to tell what position she translates to, not necessarily a bad thing as she has a lot of guard skills and can do some things inside as well.

Strong for her age group, Holt battled on both ends of the court. Liked the way she competed on the ball defensively in the half court. On offense, she’s fairly quick and is decisive when she gets downhill. Very promising signs as a driver, with some moves to slash coming off the wing. Will need to continue to refine her handle by working on dribbling closer to her body.

Impressive with the effort that Daysha played with on every possession She continued to get a hand on the ball either with deflections or tips on rebounds. An undersize power forward on paper but plays much taller when the whistle blows. A bright young player for the Southmoore team.

Holt has impressed me all season on the circuit, and when I say she has some scary upside, I mean just that. She went coast to coast to score, she scored off the dribble and dropped it from outside, ala “catch and shoot”. She also saw the floor and played good defense

Holt has some impressive upside because each time I’ve seen her play, she’s given me something new, so let me start with her being “heady” and staying under control while being pressured. She saw the floor across the board, she scored off the dribble, after contact included, her mid to long-range was clicking, as was her “on the ball” defense

Holt is an athletic guard who uses her athleticism on both ends, so her “on the ball” pressure just grabbed me initially, but watching her attack the basket to score or dish was nice; she even dropped the FLOTA. Her court vision across the board was solid, and she dropped the long ball with ease

Very well rounded player. We have her listed as a power forward, but she’s just a basketball player, going to be able to slide into wherever she is needed. Strong player that can go coast to coast. Feisty defender that makes defense turn into offense. Teams with school teammate Sophia Sevy Sophia Sevy 5'6" | PG/SG OK to make a nice duo on the Royal Legacy squad.
