Athletic, wiry guard made a positive first impression. Coming off a season in which she poured in 16.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 5.9 steals, Stinson’s emergence should continue this summer and into her senior season. DeAsia proved she could make defenders crumble with her off the dribble game, getting into the paint routinely. Stinson finished at the rim, looked good as a distributor that could find her shooters in the corner and also blended in some pull-up jumpers. Defensively, as she displayed throughout the high school season, Stinson can come away with cookies with her active hands and long reach. Schools of multiple levels should start investigating DeAsia’s potential.
