About Destinee

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Destinee is a good defender. She has size and athleticism. Is a solid on ball defender and is working to improve her off ball abilities.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I work hard and am very receptive to correction. I am coachable and continue to improve my basketball IQ daily.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Organization established (2018) Destinee's Gift. Providing new and gently used books to kids who have suffered loss during a natural disaster. Mallory Hillvitz Spirit of Creativity Award (2024) Most Improved Musician (2025) Invited/sponsored at the 7-11 art gallery showcasing an art piece I created (2026) Volunteer at Children’s Mercy Hospital (2025-current)

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Kindness, always look for ways to give back. Work hard and improve yourself every day. Be coachable, be a good teammate and always implement tcorrections on and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Learned to work through health/injuries. 2025 year was a rough one. Diagnosed with Crohn's end of 2024, over used hip, osgood schlatter, and a bad concussion that resulted in a bruised retina, a VERY difficult season being on and back off the bench. Continued to come into gym, work on dribbling/shooting. Watched games from home when I was out and always had a ball in my hand at home.

What type of college are you looking for?

Not sure yet. Entering 9th grade in the fall. Interested in possible college career in basketball to fund undergrad so I can go to med school with zero debit.
