Tatum is the point guard for the Lady War Eagles at Gray Collegiate. Diamond plays the game with a fearless mindset at times. The pass first point guard is the daughter of a college coach. She really does a nice job of jumping on the deck for a loose ball and just running the team from out top. Diamond will touch the paint and get the ball in the gaps. Don’t let the size scare you that’s for sure.

Tatum surely is not the biggest player on the court. Diamond came up big on a few occasions here today for the South Carolina Future . She was able to turn the corner quickly today and race by defenders. Diamond does a great job of keeping the ball low to the deck. Tatum finished off her day with game winning buckets over the Charleston Raptors in Sudden Death.

This would be a perfect time to use a “diamond in the rough” reference if Tatum were playing off the grid, but there is no such thing as “off the grid” when in the shadow of the Palmetto State’s capital city. Tatum translated a breakout freshman campaign with the War Eagles into running grassroots ball with Upward Stars 3SSB 2025. Whenever she has the ball in her hands, her prime directive is to get an offense going as a point guard. Tatum has developed a knack for taking care of the ball and limiting turnovers. Making the right passes to open teammates and coming away with steals as a defender are two of her many strengths.
