Drea Fernholz
Drea Fernholz
About Drea
Expert Analysis
Grant McGinnis | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Fernholz brings energy to every possession, leaving her mark on both sides of the ball and increasing the likelihood her team takes home the W. With length and athleticism, she’s evolved into an excellent defender who can guard multiple spots. Offensively she plays fast, gets downhill, and isn’t shy about launching threes. Her bounce, motor, and willingness to do the little things make her a coach’s favorite. Fernholz is an under-appreciated Top 50 talent whose game will translate very well to the scholarship level.

among others. The improvement was obvious on Sunday. Fernholz is long and athletic and she has a terrific motor. She loves to play fast and isn’t shy about launching threes on the fly. Defensively she can guard multiple positions and is a gamer on the boards. We love her attitude and energy, and Drea does all of the little things that coaches love. She was first off the bench on the Chargers’ varsity last winter. Look for more in 2024-25.
