Big Shot might be her new nickname. She’s always been a very good shooter, but it seems like she’s taken it up a notch in her senior year. I’ve witnessed her knock down some clutch shots against some big-time competition. She has improved in how she gets her shot off with a nice variety of off the dribble moves.

Swindle is like the baby faces assassin. She quietly provides clutch play after clutch play for her squad. Whether it’s been her ballhandling, on the ball defense or a dagger of a shot it seems like she has always come through this season. At the TOC her play had college coaches checking to see if she was still available.

During the event, Swindle showed that Cal State Fullerton got a steal. She played well overall, giving her team whatever they needed from her from game to game. She hit countless big shots from game to game and, at times, seemed like she couldn’t miss.

When her team needed buckets down the stretch Dylan came up clutch multiple times. She was able to handle the defensive pressure late in the game as a ballhandler as well as a scorer. A couple of her shots towards the end seemed to take the wind out of the opposing defenders.

There aren’t many more clutch shooters than Dylan. She isn’t the biggest guard, but you wouldn’t know by how effortlessly she lets it fly. Her shooting has seemed to improve every year since her freshman season. One of the most feared shooters in the state.

Swindle looks innocent but her game is far from that. She plays with a high IQ and it shows in her play making ability. She knows when to push the ball and apply pressure on the defense. She also knows when to pull the ball out and run the offense. She is like having a coach on the floor in that she never gets too high or too low. Her composure and competitiveness come out when she is on the big stage. It doesn’t hurt that she is one of the best shooters in the state.

Dylan Swindle was another player on Desert Vista that played well. Like the rest of this Desert Vista squad, she competed on defense and turned her defense into offense. Dylan knocked down shots and made a lot of clutch plays. There were a lot of Desert Vista players I could have shouted out truthfully, But Dylan, along with Eanae, had the best performances for me.
