About Elin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I love to play basketball and spend time with my teammates. I feel I am a very versatile player. I have played all five positions. I enjoy attacking the basket on the drive, shooting 3s, and posting up.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I really enjoy competing. I like to think of myself as mentally tough. I enjoy spending time with my teammates and working to make sure our team is successful and having fun.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I also play volleyball and run track. I play piano for my school's worship team.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have spent time volunteering at the local food shelf. I participate activity in my church community.

The Hillcrest Lutheran 8th grader has made plenty of noise in Class A basketball the past two seasons, proving herself as a high-level collegiate prospect. Retzlaff, a 5’9 combo guard, does it all. She’s quick, strong, crafty with the ball in her hands, and is an efficient three level scorer with a vast understanding of the game. Elin is a workhorse who brings a tremendous level of effort each time she steps on the floor. Poised and highly coachable, the West Central United guard is a college coach’s dream. Certainly a name to know in the Class of 2030.
