Ella is automatic from deep, shooting the ball whenever she is open with enough space. She doesn’t need much of it though, so defenders must stay on their toes. After she knocks down a couple deep shots and defenders begin to over play, Whitaker takes advantage of her speed with the ball in her hands and drives right by to get inside the paint. She plays off 2 feet and finds open teammates often, being a very unselfish player.

Ella is a high energy guard that runs the floor very well. One several occasions, Ella showed a great ability to drive to the hoop and kick it out to open teammates, accumulating multiple assists doing just that. She also showed no hesitation in shooting the ball from the outside, knocking down a second half three-pointer in a close game against Way to Win. She is a great playmaker on a great EBC Elite squad.

Averaged 18.0 pints, 4.5 assists, and 11. 3 rebouns. Not many players averaged a double double but she was able to get it done. Quite the accomplishment when you consider she is a 5’7″ guard. She also made 49 free throws at 79%. In total, she recorded a whopping 17 double doubles.

Whitaker’s a pretty skilled guard who can score the rock across different levels. She has the handle and footwork to find space in the paint, stays controlled and plays off two well, but also has some quick moves to lose defenders. She shows good touch at each level and can really get going from 3 when she has space.

Ella is a strong guard and plays downhill when she isn’t knocking down long bombs. Another player with range, she averaged 14 points last season and made 30 triples. I expect the three will be a bigger part of her game this season. She has point guard handles and is tough in the lane getting to the basket.

Apparently playing with a broken hand didn’t stop her from being the primary ball handling guard when she was in the game. She has good handles and is strong with the ball. She made the extra pass several times to open teammates. She has deep range on her shot and can get hot in a hurry. I’m sure the hand didn’t help but she can really shoot it. When she gets into the lane she is strong and under control, finishing at the rim. A smart player who doesn’t get rattled easily.rn

Ella was getting buckets from inside and out. She is a good shooter with some deep range, hitting several threes. She is a strong guard who can score inside and play through contact. She handles the ball with her head up, under control. She did a lot of the primary ball handling for her team and handled it well. She is best as a shooter but her ability to work her way to the basket was on display as well. rn

A shooter when left open can make you pay. She has deep range and is strong enough to shoot it from well beyond the three point line. She is averaging 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists on the season. Although she has struggled with her shot at times, she is one you don’t want to lose on defense. She does a lot for her team including running the point and filling the stat sheet as evidenced by her numbers.
