Ellie is the engine behind a tough and disciplined North Summit squad, and she continues to prove why she’s the headliner for one of the strongest 2A programs in the state. Year after year, North Summit reloads with new talent, but Ellie is the steady force that keeps them competitive, even after graduating players who move on to the next level.

This season, the Braves have opened at 5-1, stacking wins against several higher-classification teams and showing they’re built for more than just 2A competition. Their only loss came against a strong 3A Morgan team, and even in that matchup, Ellie’s presence and effort were unmistakable. She has been the team’s leading scorer throughout the preseason and sets the tone with her hustle, toughness, and ability to impact the game on both ends.

Whether it’s knocking down shots, creating plays in transition, or anchoring the defensive intensity North Summit relies on, Ellie is the player that keeps the Braves’ ceiling high—and she’s a big reason they look primed for a good year.

Small school, but a big game. Stephens is an absolute athlete with great size for a wing, capable of doing almost everything on the floor. She can be a grab-and-go player inside and a threat on the wing. If a small school lands this small-town hooper, both could benefit greatly.

With two senior contributors gone, Ellie is stepping in as the floor leader this season. As a freshman and sophomore, she poured in over 400 points and proved she could carry the load. She’s got the size to finish tough inside and the scoring touch to hit from anywhere. This year, the team will lean on her heavily, with Chayden Sargent Chayden Sargent 5'6" | SG North Summit | 2026 State UT and Kate Smith stepping in as key playmakers to get her the ball.

Stephens is a small school gem with a little bit of length. Stephens is a beast in the paint and around the rim. Look for her to increase her production and point output by 3-6 points this next season. Solid small school SF.

Stephens could be a problem for teams next year as a mobile forward with size. Arguably the best rebounder in the state as she was a machine on the boards. Simply duplicating what she did this year will help her stock but look for her to improve and get more touches on offense.
