About Emaunii
Expert Analysis
Maury Jackson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Perhaps the top all-around athlete, Emaunii is as versatile as it gets. She played plenty of center for Elite Sports 17u, but can be a full-time player on the wing. Emaunii has physical gifts you simply cannot teach: great frame, high vertical, fast, long arms, and elite body control. She is a nightmare in transition and has receiver-like hands to snag rebounds and catch balls in traffic. Her tourney performance included several and1s and putbacks. Very hard to stop with a head of steam. She routinely used her face-up game to beat bigs off-the-dribble. Defensively, Emaunii has the ability to switch 1-5 and covers ground like no other. She is truly a DPOY type of talent. Elite rim protector with good anticipation as a ball hawk. She turns steals into fastbreak opportunities for her team. Emaunii showcased natural playmaking ability and good decision-making on the fastbreak.

Emaunii is a quick wing who has fantastic agility on the court, playing elite defense against the top offensive players. Smith has great size, rebounding the ball well and having the ability to push the pace in transition with the dribble or the pass. She has grown her offensive game too, being able to finish around the rim smoothly.

A player who has perhaps the most potential to have a big season. She is a rising prospect with the length and agility she displays. Averaged around 10 points last season and makes most of her shots in the paint. She also has that little jumper just outside the paint and is a capable free throw shooter. Kamiakan will look to make a run next season after finishing with a 23-3 record last year. Her mobile and lengthy frame causes problems for opposing teams with the shot changing style of play.

Smith’s an intriguing player with good size who has shown some good defensive ability, walling up and standing tall defending the blocks, having good burst to get out on shooters, and showing the ability to go block shots near the rim and on jump shooters. She has some potential for more on the offensive end with her ability to run and fill lanes on the break and put in work on the glass.

The potential here is huge with her length and athleticism. A familiar theme in players who have the upside to make a big jump. Smith has a high ceiling and continued development of the offensive game would put her in the top 10. She moves her feet well on defense and is a great shot blocker. She is strictly an in-the-paint scorer, although she has great touch on her free throws. A player to watch the development that could turn into a high-level prospect.

Emauni provides a rare combination of size and length. She is a good athlete who can help out in all phases of the game. She has the ability to be an elite defensive player. She has good lateral quickness with the ability to stay in front on the perimeter. She is a shot changer around the basket with the length. Her offensive game is still a little raw but there were flashes of bigger things to come. She has a nice touch from the free throw line, and she averaged 7 points per game this season scoring mostly around the rim. There will be big holes to fill with two players moving on to play at the Division 1 level – Nikole Thomas (Memphis) and Maddy Rendall (Idaho State).

Playing for another sleeper team in Kamiakin, she has that same size and athletic ability to change games on defense. She is an excellent shot blocking forward who is quick enough to guard anywhere on the floor. She is the #8 ranked player from the Class of 2026.

An athletic player with lots of length. She uses that length to be an excellent shot blocker. She is quick enough to follow the ball and her timing is great. She is an active player with a huge upside. Her ability to defend multiple spots and change or block shots is game changing type talent. She has some of the best raw skills I have seen for her size. As a freshman, she leaves a lot to like when you watch her play. There is next level talent here. She is a big factor in Kamiakin’s success this year.
