Bridges is a familiar name to the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit as we remember the stellar performances she put forth at the Southeast Kickoff in Hickory. Even though her Peach Games Saturday got off to an inauspicious start with a defeat to Lady Playmakers 15U, Bridges continued to display the effectiveness from both long range and midrange that makes her a name to watch. She primarily plays as a two guard but can also find time playing as a point guard. The 5-foot-6 freshman is a multi-sport athlete who plays soccer in addition to what she gets accomplished on the basketball court. 

Bridges, who plays her school ball at 5A Hickory, also fits the distinction of a two-sport athlete. Her second sport of choice is soccer. Given the location of this past weekend’s Southeast Kickoff, Bridges did not have far to travel. Bridges has a great deal of speed and quickness – an attribute that is very helpful when attacking the basket. The ability to connect on 3-pointers is another strong point of Bridges’ game and she can also help a team win with her defense and rebounding. Team Hickory Basketball Club 15U finished 3-1 over the weekend. Bridges averaged 8.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.4 steals and 2.1 assists this past season with the Red Tornadoes. 

Bridges is another of the two-sport athletes that are part of Team Hickory Basketball Club 15U. In addition to what she gets accomplished on the basketball court, she also thrives on the soccer pitch. Bridges gives a 3-point shooting dimension to her team’s offensive attack. Team Hickory Basketball Club connected on three 3-pointers in its game with Carolina All-Stars 15U P32 – two were Bridges’. That long range accuracy combined with the ability to attack the basket can throw many a defense for a loop. Speed and quickness are also important elements to Bridges’ game.
