About Emily

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a center/forward who excels in the post, with a strong ability to finish downlow and defend the post. Defensively I excel at playing the gaps and reading the defense. Offensively I thrive with pick and rolls and post-ups.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a positive and optimistic mindset and encouraging my teammates throughout the game. I also have solid leadership skills, allowing me to guide and motivate the team when needed. Above all, I strive to be selfless, putting the team’s goals and success ahead of my own.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in my school's social justice club and am an officer of my school's environmental club. I am also a founding member of the school's service club.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed many leadership skills throughout my time playing basketball and have developed better teamwork skills.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the most significant challenges I faced was hurting my knee. I had to sit out for some time and recover before coming back to basketball. It was hard not being able to play but zi put all my effort into recovering and came back better than ever.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a smaller college, with a strong basketball program, and good options for pre-law.

Emily showed she has good size which allows her to play well in the paint. Would like to see her get stronger with the ball at the rim, be a little more forceful, but she’s got great length and can be a factor on the defensive end. Good prospect with continued work.
