Combs had a very nice game offensively scoring the ball, something she has been doing the last four years on the varsity level in Georgia. Emry plays with a very high IQ to go along with a solid skill set on offense that has led her to be one of the most consistent guards in Georgia. She scored the ball from three and the midrange, but was most effective driving the ball to the basket in the half court and when opportunities arose on the fast break. Combs showed a lot of maturity and patience running Lakeview’s offense with mostly all underclassmen, including one middle schooler. Combs is a solid college prospect and would be a good fit for the right level/school.

One of the better point guards in Georgia, Combs flies under the radar at Lakeview Academy too much for my liking. A strong, compact and polished playmaker, Emyrie uses her speed and strength to penetrate at will. She’s a skilled finisher with both hands. Combs is a sharp shooter with her one-dribble pull-up from the mid-range. Continuing to grow consistent range out to the three-point line will be beneficial long term. Emyrie makes an impact on defense 94-feet.

Up from No. 54: Terrific instincts on both sides of the ball. Active defender pounces on lazy passes. Strong compact point guard handles the ball well against pressure. Sees the floor. Has soft touch on her lob passes. Looks to get others involved first, but is a crafty driver and can stretch the defense with her three-point shot.
