Jefferson grabbed my attention right here at this event last season, see evaluation here, and yes, her being “long and athletic” with plenty of upside played a part in it. Fast forward to a year later, and she’s stronger off the dribble, as well as around the basket, as she finished on putbacks. Her defense has gotten better, including timing to block shots.

Jefferson is “long and athletic” which is and always be the base so what initially impressed me was her timing to block shots yet the more I watched, I saw her use her UPS to grab rebounds and score around the basket. Her upside is sold, she did a good job defending both in and outside the paint and she is definitely on my radar
