Expert Analysis
Sam Duren | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Smith has a silky shooting stroke, capable of knocking down multiple three pointers in any contest. While also being one of the better rebounders in Oklahoma. Was a double-double machine last season, and while still active on the glass this year she has more help around her for a red hot Redhawks squad. To close out the regular season, Smith has four steals, showing the same tenacity on the glass leads to her causing havoc and chasing down loose balls. Complete ball player. She picked up offers late last summer from Hesston and Connors State.

Another viewing of Smith and another example of her outstanding motor as a rebounder. Anytime a shot went up, the 918 forward had the mindset of “that’s mine.” From ending possessions by tracking down defensive rebounds to finding ways to get her hands on offensive ones, her effort level was special. The grinder like mentality of Smith serves her well, likely will help her get college opportunities. Then once at the next level, help her find her way onto the floor.

While Smith has wing skills, one of the aspects in her game that stood out in a previous viewing is her tenacity on the glass. Especially on the offensive end. This continued in her highlight tape from Heart of Texas. She hunts for rebounds, even ripping one away from an opposition and scoring quickly. Along with showcasing her motor, Smith knocked down a good amount of catch and shoot three pointers in the footage. After a very productive junior campaign at the 6A level, she appears to be one of the more undervalued prospects in the Class of 2025.

Game Watched: vs Bixby, February 29th
The junior has quality wing skills but in the viewing against Bixby, it was her willingness to get her nose dirty around the rim that stood out the most. In the closely contested playoff game, she was a handful to keep off the offensive glass in the second half with quality putbacks. Overall, Smith has a right place at right time feel to her game on the offensive end. She was a smart cutter and mover off the ball, which complimented her second chance scoring.
