Engler is in her first season with Vernon Hills, and she’s already making her mark. She’s a player that can legit be your go-to shooter, and she can be a spot-up one, off the catch.. and has even shown multiple times that she can create her own off the dribble. Programs are always looking for floor spacers.. and Engler can provide that.

Engler will be in a new jersey and system this year, but one of her best skill sets can translate with ease, shooting. She was easily one of the best shooters in this class last year, and I don’t see that changing this year. She already has her name in the IHSA record books, wouldn’t be surprised if she does something similar this year at Vernon Hills.

Deerfield has had it’s share of top tier talent over the past couple of years, and this year they have welcomed in another. Eve is a forsure Top 25 prospect in this class, and with the consistent numbers to back it, she is a lock in for coaches and scouts to watch as this AAU season comes up. She moves well on both sides of the ball and has a strong sense of awareness on the offensive side. She is confident behind the arc and is still growing her abilities to get and finish at the rim. The potential is there.

Eve is an asset whether she is playing for her club or high school team. She excels in switching seamlessly between guarding multiple positions. As a taller guard in her class, she can defend both smaller, quicker guards and larger forwards. Along with her defensive ability, she can create her own shot or get the shot to someone who can. Definitely will be a huge part of her high school team.

Engler is in constant motion throughout every possession. It’s rare to see her standing in one spot for more than 3-5 seconds. You can tell there’s confidence in her game, just by how she moves throughout the court. She’s not timid, she’s not scared and doesn’t seem to be afraid of contact either. One of those players who can slip in and out of being a scorer and a facilitator.
