Rodriguez is a point guard who can score in a hurry. She averaged 17.8 points per game last season and has the ability to take over stretches of a game offensively. At the same time, she continues to grow as a facilitator and is becoming more comfortable setting up teammates for easier opportunities. If that part of her game continues to develop, she becomes even more difficult to defend.

Evelyn Rodriguez has burst onto the scene in her sophomore season, averaging 17.7 points, 4.7 steals, 4.3 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game while shooting an efficient 58% from the field and 33% from three-point range. A dynamic left-handed point guard, she’s a skilled ball handler who can create offense with the ball in her hands. She’s excellent at changing pace, is a crafty scorer at the rim, can facilitate and has a nose for the ball on defense. Rodriguez has already posted some eye-opening stat lines, including 25 points, six rebounds, six steals, and five assists against Fern Creek, 38 points and seven steals versus Presentation, and 18 points, 10 rebounds, and five steals against Cornerstone Christian. Evelyn is a prospect to follow closely in the Class of 2028.
