About Evie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would say my game style consists of strong defense, I'm not afraid to dive for a ball or take a charge. I play a very defense oriented game reading the court and anticipating every move, which then flows into points on offense. Offensively I can knock down a three that comes my way. As well as being a strong finisher at the rim.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I play with a lot of heart and hustle, giving everything 100%. Treating everything as an opportunity to improve, every play matters.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I'm a part of many non-sport related clubs like, National Junior Honor Society, Peer Assistance Leadership (PAL), and I'm currently the Secretary of my schools Student Council.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

During School ball I developed strong leadership skills. Being the point guard I had a lot of responsibilities that came with it like, leading the team, being reliable, and setting the tone and pace for every practice and game. Being an extension of the coach on the court and working with my teammates helped me develop the skill set I have today.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A challenge I've faced is some close family health issues. Throughout this difficulty I have persevered and allowed my faith to lead the way. But, through all challenges I continue to persevere, my grades stay A's, and basketball stays my escape.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like to be able to go anywhere I can play basketball, and have the ability to study in the medical field for my degree.
