Appleton has “stock riser” written all over her as she adds the “long and athletic” to what she brings to the table. She scores off the dribble and finishes after contact. She drops the jumper, with a hand in her face, but she also rebounds and handles the ball afterward. Her court vision is solid, so is her defense, and she plays the passing lane

Appleton impressed me via video so watching her in person showed I hadn’t seen a mirage. She’s another “long and athletic” player, yep, it’s still the base but she’s also above “the magic number” so when you add she can drop the mid to long-range as well as attack the basket to score, her deceptive first step is nice, she creates problems for defenders. Her court vision needs to be mentioned, as well as her rebounding and defense, and guess what, I saw her in person at the Simmie Colson Classic
