About Gabby
Expert Analysis
Tonia Ziter | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Gabby committed to Menlo College in California, which is a Division II program, and that should give her ranking a significant lift. Players in Southern Utah often don’t get the same level of exposure, which means their growth can fly under the radar. The fact that Menlo picked her up suggests her skill set may have been underestimated in earlier evaluations, and this commitment is a strong indicator of the level she’s actually playing at.

Gabby is quick, shifty, and relentless on both ends of the floor. Recently committing to play at D2 Menlo College in California, she’s proven she has the skill and drive to compete at the next level. Her smooth, quick-release jumper allows her to score from virtually anywhere on the court, while her aggressive on-ball defense makes it tough for opponents to get anything easy when she’s guarding them.

Gabby is the definition of a do-it-all player for Cedar. Running the point at her height gives her a matchup advantage almost every possession, and she knows how to use it. If defenders sag off, she’ll bury the jumper; if they press too close, she’ll blow by and create. With her versatility and ability to control the pace, she’s the engine for Cedar. A strong fall showing and some quality wins could be the boost that elevates her even higher in the rankings.

Gabby is on track to join the 1,000-point club if she keeps leading Cedar the way she has since she started. The team lost a key supporter, but there are plenty of younger players ready to step up and help carry the load. She’ll look to Mya Bishoff Mya Bishoff SG Cedar | 2028 State UT and Jaylin York Jaylin York CG Cedar | 2027 State UT to take the opportunity to shine.

If you haven’t seen this kid play in prson you need to check her out. She has quickness and she has some deep range and when I say deep I mean she has hit a few like nothing from the volleyball line. She is a take what you give her scorer and shooter. Works well off the ball and at the next level when defender do not want to come out so far she can make them pay with some incredible shooting.

When this girl isn’t dropping 3’s or lighting it up on offense, she is holding it down on the defensive end. A tough, in-your-face on-ball defender, she makes life rough for whoever she’s guarding—scoring on her is no easy task.

As Cedar City’s all-time 3 point leader, Gabby is an elite shooter AND elite scorer. She routinely made shots well beyond the 3pt line throughout the tourney. The Utah 4A 1st team All-State selection is a nifty ball handler who applies a tremendous amount of pressure on the opposing defense. Quick and confident with the ball in her hands. Gabby creates space with the best of the best. Legit 3-level scorer who knows how to get to the line. Gabby understands how to utilize the pick-n-roll to her advantage as a shooter and facilitator. Dangerous shooter off-the-dribble and the catch. She has the ability to be a one-woman wrecking crew and keep her team in the game by any means possible.

Gomez was one of those incoming freshman a few years a go you were excited to watch playa nd now she is entering her senior season and we are excited to see what she can do. She is an electric scoring guard that is likely to average 15+ PPG this coming season. Do not be surprised if she gets to 20 a game.
