Some kids will make a verbal commitment and become a little complacent or even quit playing grassroots ball, but I feel like Gabby has used it as a springboard to the future. She is playing with more focus and intent, and she seems completely locked in, regardless of the opponent. I’ve also been impressed over the years with how she has gone from being more of a scorer and creator to being a traditional point guard who sees the floor very well. She still possesses the ability to be an explosive scorer, especially for her high school team, but finding that balance has been fun to watch.

Gabby has always been a very good basketball talent, but she has had some standout moments this Spring, and she is making college coaches notice. She has an athletically strong frame, really nice length at her height, and she is a solid North/South athlete. She is aggressive and effortful, but she does so with a nice all-around awareness of the game. She is steady and efficient offensively, plus she is playing with greater urgency defensively.
