About Gianna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my play style as very aggressive and energetic. I am aggressive when it comes to getting the ball on defense and wanting to get rebounds and more possessions for my team. I am energetic when it comes to communicating to my teammates on both sides of the ball as well as being a good teammate with assists and encouragement and making shots when needed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

A brief description of my personality and mentality is that I am positive and competitive. I am positive as a person because I brush off mistakes quickly while in the game and uplift my teammates when they make mistakes as well. I am competitive because I like to win and do my best for the team and myself.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received the academic awards of the principles list and first honors in high school so far. As for middle school I was apart of the National Junior Honor Society program and earned high honors multiple times.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed the qualities of being a a good teammate and building great leadership. I am a good teammate because I have positive body language throughout the game and uplift others. I have leadership qualities when it comes to the game by communicating to my teammates throughout the game and being vocal while on the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have not faced any significant challenges in my athletic career so far. However if faced with any adversity in the future I plan to work hard in overcoming the challenge at hand.

What type of college are you looking for?

Colleges that I am looking for are those that have a strong athletic and academic program. Specifically in the majors of dentistry as that is what I am interested in. Athletically I am looking for a college that will develop me into a better player and person.

She has active hands on defense, poking the ball loose and turning stops into offense, while also applying full-court pressure that disrupts opposing teams. Offensively, she has a solid pull-up jumper in the mid-range and a quick release from three.
