Expert Analysis
Danyle Bowers | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Grace, a senior wing for Traverse City West, has been a steady and versatile presence throughout this high school season. With her length and skill set, she creates advantages off the dribble, attacking the lane with purpose and finishing softly around the rim. She is comfortable playing on or off the ball, moving into open space and consistently connecting from three-point range when given room. Defensively, Grace uses her wingspan to disrupt passing lanes, contest shots, and come away with deflections, while also crashing the glass to secure key rebounds. Her effort, instincts, and ability to impact multiple areas of the game have made her an important piece for West this year.

Grace is a versatile, skilled, and lanky wing who consistently stood out on the travel circuit and at showcases. She has the handles to create driving lanes, attacks downhill with a burst, and finishes with touch at the rim. Grace has excellent instincts off the ball and is a knockdown three-point shooter. She crashes the glass to secure rebounds, deflects passes on the defensive end, and makes the effort plays. Grace is averaging 16 points and 10 rebounds per contest in her first five games of the season for TCW. She picked up offers from Kalamazoo College aPayton nd Aquinas during the summer.

Grace played “possessed” for HB Elite on Saturday at our PGH Michigan State Tournament. She battled for rebounds and 50/50 balls, flying in from the perimeter to secure and score an offensive rebound put back. Grace converted shots around the basket, including a full-speed backdoor cut catch and finish. She hesitated briefly, then ripped hard to drive by a defender and cause a foul–poured in both free throws. Grace was locked in from three-point range, draining multiple triples up top. Her length, hustle, and versatility are major advantages.

Grace made First Team All-Conference with Traverse City West and ripped the nets with her 3-point accuracy at Jamfest earlier this spring. Grace is an excellent facilitator, disrupts opponents with her length, and finishes well in traffic. I expect her to be a wing who draws a crowd at our PGH Michigan State Tournament.

Grace is a wing who has impressed us many times already, and she put her entire arsenal of abilities on full display at Jamfest on Saturday. She finished multiple shots around the basket with touch and drilled multiple 3-pointers with pinpoint accuracy. Grace made the perfect read when she forced a defender to commit to her dribble before dishing a showtime no-look pass for an assist. She worked hard to defend the post and is one of HB Elite ‘s premier prospects.

Grace earned All-Big North Conference First Team honors and had an outstanding season for Traverse City West. She had a monster double-double performance against Gaylord with 23 points and 14 rebounds. Grace is a sniper from 3-point range and her length should garner attention from college coaches this spring.

Grace was one of the most efficient perimeter shooters at The Expo on Saturday. She moved to open space off the ball, keeping her body squared to the rim. Grace worked hard to front the low post and box out for rebounds. Her efficiency hitting 3s from the wing gave her team an offensive advantage at the event. Grace had an excellent day and earned All-Showcase Third Team Honors.

I was very impressed with the way Bohrer played and her shooting was clearly a part of that. She even showed that she could bury a 3 over the top of a defender.

Grace is a lengthy wing prospect who I was eager to see compete at The Expo and she showed characteristics to be excited about again today for Team 3. Grace had her sights lined up from beyond the arc, knocking down several 3-pointers from the wing consistently throughout the day. She made an excellent back-door pass over the defense and used her length to deflect passes on defense.
