Nero is in her fifth season of playing varsity basketball. She has done a really good job of coming back each season a little bit better than the previous one. This season is no different. She is already over 1000 career points and will be in the record books as one of the better scorers in school history. I am also assuming she will be one of the top rebounders in school history as well. She is an athletic 5’10 who isn’t afraid to get to the hoop. As previously stated, she is a good rebounder and is capable of a double-double any given night.

The talented forward on the Bottineau Stars will have her chance to run the show in 2025-2026 due to the graduation of stud teammate Kyra Beckman. Hallie has done an excellent job of playing “Robin” to Beckman’s “Batman”, but will do great as the main option next season. She is a strong post and possesses good size for a forward. She is a bucket, already eclipsing the 1000 point mark as a Junior. She would be great at a junior college or a lower division.

Hallie recently scored her 1000 career point, an outstanding achievement and even more impressive to do as a Junior in high school.  She thrives around the rim, despite her modest size for a post.  She does an excellent job of posting up and knowing when to duck-in her defender.  She isn’t a ‘black hole’ in the post either.  She knows when to pivot to the middle and skip opposite to one of her teammates for an easy three-point attempt.  Hallie is a great player and key to Bottineau’s success.

Hallie and Kyra allow Bottineau to run a tough double post/hi-low offense. Hallie was great at screening across and dumping down passes to Kyra from the free throw line. She is also able to seal up the lane herself for easy buckets. Hallie did an impressive up-and-under post move for a basket and did a nice job of making the right decision in a 2-on-1 transition opportunity.
