The wildcard of the group because of the energy she brings every single game. She plays hard, creates extra possessions, and thrives in transition. On top of that, she’s capable of knocking down open shots from deep when defenses leave her.

Hannah plays the wildcard role this season, bringing instant energy as soon as she checks in. She raises the aggressiveness on defense, rebounds the ball well, and can push the tempo in transition. On top of that, she finishes at the rim and can stretch the floor when needed.

Watson took her talent to Las Vegas this AAU season, playing with the Las Vegas Elite/Team Hamby 16U for the majority of the summer. It is nice to see Hannah playing back in the state for June with the Wreaking Havoc. Watson scored MVP recognition this past weekend at the GTE Mountain West Summer Preview event, and it is easy to see why. She is a multi-level scorer. She has the ability to score in the paint with her back to the basket or short 10ft jumpers. Hannah can also play from the wing, getting points from strong drives to the basket or jumpers. She brings a great energy to the defensive end. She can get in a stance and defend smaller guards the full length of the court, meet post players at the block to battle for position and everything in between. Make sure that you get to the court to see Watson and Wreaking Havoc play before she goes back to Vegas.

Hannah might be one of the most unique players in this group. She doesn’t have a defined position — and that might be her greatest strength. She brings non-stop energy the moment she checks in, crashing the glass, defending multiple spots, and playing with heart on both ends. Offensively, she’s unselfish taking what the defense gives her. Whether it’s making hustle plays, rotating defensively, or finding open teammates, she just makes winning plays. Coaches love that kind of versatility and effort, and Hannah delivers both in full.

Watson will definitely be one to watch this summer and in the DPS league throughout her career. As a freshman she earned All City Team Honorable Mention. Hannah is listed as a small forward, but she can play both inside and outside very well. Her handles dont just keep her in the post, she can help to bring the ball up the floor in pressure as well as get herself to the basket for points. Hannah plays well with her back to the basket, and she can also muscle defenders from the high post. Watson’s game also has finesse, she can hit the pull up jumpers from mid-range and even from behind the arch. Defensively, Watson is all over the court. She has quick hands and feet to defend dribblers and shooters on the wing. Her tenacity keeps her competitive in the paint against taller post players. Hannah is going to be exciting to watch as she continues to hone her skills.

Hannah isn’t lacking anything on the court. This freshman is getting varsity minutes because of her high energy, tenacious play. She is a do-it-all player. She is always in the paint, battling for rebounds on both ends, she has great hands. As a small forward, she can play well with her back to the basket and facing the hoop. She has post footwork and the strength to score efficiently in the paint. Watson can also score from the high post, wing and even shoot the three. Defensively, Hannah does not back down from anything. She will get in a stance a pick up a dribbler from full court, and also play physical in the paint with the post players. And always pay attention to her and the details. Hannah does the little things like setting great screens, boxing out, and chasing loose balls on every single play. Pay attention to the freshman for Denver East in the playoffs.

Hannah is so much fun to watch on the court. Her high energy play gets her involved in every play on both the offensive and defensive end. Watson is reliable at all 5 positions on the court. She has both the capable handles of a guard and the strength of a post player in the paint. She is deceivingly quick on offense, with the ability to score off the dribble or hit open mid-range jumpers. Hannah is also a threat from behind the arch as she continues to hone in her range. On the defensive end, Watson can be put at the top of a press to get traps and steals. She is also very capable of guarding in the post and securing much needed rebounds. Hannah is easily a leader on and off the court for the JV team at East, and the quality minutes she earns with varsity with keep her a difference maker throughout her career.

Hannah is a challenging matchup whenever she steps on the floor, thanks to her versatile scoring ability. She can knock down transition threes with confidence, slice through defenses to get to the paint, and capitalize on her physicality around the rim. Her aggressive play also extends to the defensive end, where she forces turnovers that lead to easy points. Hannah’s all-around game ensures that she makes a significant impact on both ends of the floor.
