Harlan helped give her Hoop Dreams team a boost with her ability to rebound and finish inside. Ward showed to have terrific touch inside the paint, while also battling for rebounds. She played a major role in the win over Kansas Elite . This performance gave her the nod as our top post player in the 15U division. Look for her to continue to get better on the prep circuit as she has shown at the high school level to be comfortable handling the ball and pushing tempo in transition.

Ward is a versatile forward for Hoop Dreams. She can handle the ball well and is not afraid to push pace and start the break. She was the top rebounder for her squad and a major reason why they were able to advance to Sunday’s title game. Ward also showed to be a clutch player in the 49-47 win over Kansas Elite . She not only wanted the ball inside but was able to convert a much needed free throw to put her team in front late. Harlan has very good touch inside and keeps the ball high when pivoting in the paint.
