McCaskill’s high school varsity experience dates back to when she attended middle school. She has lately been one of the key pieces powering the success of a top-tier 2A program in Lake Marion and has brought her talents to another program moving to the 2A ranks. McCaskill’s Orangeburg-Wilkinson team was among the many squads that were on hand this past weekend at the SCBCA Live event at North Augusta’s Riverview Park. McCaskill competed in 26 contests last season for a Gators team that concluded last season with a 20-9 record. She joins a Bruins team that finished second in its region last season only behind Oceanside Collegiate. 

When things appeared bleak for the Gators at the half, coach Tequilla Allen needed her team to step it up. McCaskill answered to conclude her evening with 12 points to help Lake Marion to the victory over Hampton County. McCaskill had to key the team’s offensive efforts in the second quarter as the Gators faced adversity in the form of foul trouble. She understands how to organize an offense in a half court set. As a two, she is effective at draining 3-pointers. The Gators connected on four 3-pointers for Friday night’s matchup. Two of those tries from deep departed from McCaskill’s hands.
